Sunday was a beautiful, bright, sunny day and the most touching day since we’ve been back in America – it was Heidi and Brett’s wedding! The ceremony was outdoors and it was gorgeous. I don’t have any pictures of the ceremony because I was in the wedding but let me tell you a bit about it: There were beautiful white chairs set up in the nice, clean, green grass. Trees surrounded us and an old stone tower stood in the background of the ceremony. Mason jars with baby’s breath lined the aisle. Heidi picked soft music to be playing as we walked down – very rustic with guitars and violins. She looked so beautiful walking down the aisle in her romantic wedding gown – and that was the word for the wedding – romantic. Scott and I were touched as she asked us to read a passage. After the vows and rings they walked back down the aisle as people surrounded them with bubbles! Heidi was so relaxed the whole day and Brett was smiling the whole time.
We had such a great morning getting ready and waiting for the guests to arrive. I was able to grab some pictures before the ceremony of all of us and the beautiful bride . . .
My sisters : ) It has been so nice spending the last couple days with these three lovely ladies. I feel so blessed having married into Scott’s family and so blessed to have these women as close friends and sisters of mine!
As I mentioned above the ceremony was so gorgeous and so touching. After the ceremony we got some really neat pictures outside and then headed indoors to enjoy the cocktail hour. They had their reception at the same place which is a community art center! It was great to mingle and check out all the art.
I loved the cake too! Very simple and beautiful:
Then it was time for the first dance:
The night was a lot of fun – dancing, family, cake, what more could you need!
Grandma even danced!
What a wonderful wedding – congrats Heidi and Brett : )
