I have been meaning to post about Alito’s for quite some time now. It’s a Mexican restaurant that opened a couple months ago. For those of you back home its not as good as Mighty Taco but its the best things here! We decided to check out the restaurant and make a little picnic of it. Alito’s is located on the road that leads to the Danat Hotel and set amongst a pretty grassy area that is perfect for walking or for a picnic. Now today the temperature has gotten up to 100 degrees Fahrenheit but last month when we went the temperature was only about 80/85 degrees.

When we arrived we were sure to pick up their delivery menu. The Emirates is unique in the fact that pretty much every restaurant delivers right to your door – you can order Applebee’s, Burger King, Subway, Indian, Lebanese, Chinese – everything! All these delivery services are a blessing and a curse. The Emirates is always trying to be the best and provide the best services -which is wonderful, but it really sucks when you’re trying to lose weight and don’t feel like cooking : ) Since our first visit we have ordered from Alito’s a couple times and its always delicious! When we went to the restaurant we saw that they had a small place to eat upstairs in case you don’t want to eat at the park or take it home:

The park that lines the road leading to the Danat Hotel - the path is really nice to walk and it takes you to the wadi

Their food is soo good!! I’m resisting the urge to call and order for dinner tonight : ) Unfortunately the time for picnics has passed – the weather is just too hot now and I’m longing for the cooler days when I took those pictures!
