Last night Scott and I started off our Easter at St. Mary’s Catholic Church for their Easter Vigil. The service started at 11pm and went until 12:30pm and it was packed out! We were 10 min early (which, if you know Scott and I is like a miracle in and of itself!) and the sanctuary and balcony were full so we went to the basement where they broadcasted the service onto the screen and by 11pm the basement was packed out too! The first hour was liturgy with reflection on the history of creation and the life of Jesus. There were a lot of beautiful readings and responses. At midnight they lit up a tomb they had on stage and we all sang Alleluia for the first time since the beginning of lent. It was a very nice and reflective service. So this morning we slept in a little and made cinnamon rolls! Scott left for a bit to pick up some milk and things and when he came back he surprised me with a beautiful bouquet of Easter flowers – lilies and my personal favorite – fujimums! I am so lucky to have him . . .

Wishing everyone a Happy Easter
