So after hiking and biking we decided the next day to go out on the lake for some rowing! Unfortunately is was a really rainy, foggy day. We thought we would get up early and drive up to the top of Sarangot to watch the sunrise but this was all we saw . . .

DSCN3027DSCN3024Oh well – thankfully we saw the sunrise over the Himalayas later in our trip so stay tuned for that! We thought we’d wait another day to do some rowing so we just walked down by the water and took in another relaxing day . . .

DSCN3053DSCN3058Every time we were by the water I kept thinking of my dad and missing him. He loves lakes and boats and fishing and I just know he would have loved this area. The day was foggy but the boats were still colorful.

DSCN3068Since it was the 21st of December and the dreaded Mayan doomsday, Scott and I found the perfect place to have dinner and watch the world end:

DSCN3074That’s right – we went to the Maya Pub and Restaurant!! It seemed pretty appropriate.

DSCN3073DSCN3076Since the world wasn’t ending anytime soon we saw that the hotel we were staying at was doing traditional Nepalese dancing and we decided it would be a great way to end the night.

DSCN3100The next morning was much clearer so we decided to rent some boats and get out on that lake!

I just love seeing the Himalayas popping out from behind the surrounding smaller mountains

Again sorry this post was so quick – I have so much to say and so little time and so many pictures and too indecisive. Hope this gives you a little snapshot into Pokhara and our trip. Goodnight for now!
